ndwNext Dimension High School Ministry

Next Dimension New Membership

Monday evenings 7pm – 8pm in the upstairs Academic Wing.

Our Discipleship Class is for new High School members of Bethany Baptist and new converts to the family of God. It provides a strong biblical foundation and offers opportunities to get involved in service to the Lord at Bethany. The class is held in the academic wing on Monday evenings from 7-8 p.m. Students can enroll at any time on a continuous basis throughout the year. After completion, students will select a small group ministry to become involved in. These ministries will empower students to grow in their walk with the Lord.

Next Dimension Bible Study

Wednesdays Nights 7:00-8:30pm in the upstairs Academic Wing

Students receive personalized attention as they gain an in-depth understanding of biblical principles in small group settings. The small groups are taught by instructors who stimulate learning through age-appropriate, socially relevant topics and discussions. The bible study groups also participate in “buddy” activities with younger Faith Planet students and our Seniors at the Harvest House.

Meets monthly. Students will be provided with weekly assignments

Mark 10:42-45 ESV

And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

The Ambassador Servant Leadership Program is designed to encourage, challenge and empower select middle school students in Servant Leadership. According to Robert K Greenleaf, Servant Leadership is this:

“The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. That person is sharply different from one who is leader first, perhaps because of the need to assuage an unusual power drive or to acquire material possessions…

A servant-leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong. While traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid,” servant leadership is different. The servant-leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible.”

Class sessions are held once a month and students must complete an application package, successfully pass an interview and regularly participate in the Youth Ministry. We believe our Servant Leaders are the leaders of today, not tomorrow. We will prepare and provide our students with access to exercise and discover their leadership ability today!
